Back in the early 1960s, British motorcycle enthusiasts regularly raced these lightweight, but powerful motorbikes at high speeds between popular cafes in London. One particular 2km ‘track’ led from The Ace Cafe to the nearest roundabout and back again and had to be covered by the time any given song had finished playing. The practice may be a thing of the past, but THE CAFE RACER is a smaller version of the iconic motorcycle that’s available in a robust and visually striking wooden design and it’s a great way to celebrate the era whilst having modelling fun!
